This project was a micro-site for the “Experience Humber – Open House” event.
The site allowed people to find schedules, directions, parking information, and other info they would need for the day of the event. I used a variety of languages to build the site – html, php, xml, java script, which referenced a mysql database. The visitor starts by typing in their academic program, which auto-completes a list of programs offered. Once the visitor clicks their program, the appropriate schedule is displayed.
I was also able to experiment with google maps on this project. To get turn by turn directions, the user simply types their own address into a search bar, and directions to the appropriate campus are displayed.
